„The Royal Way of the Cross” and “Jan Budziaszek invites you to the Rosary”.
The Rosary! It’s the key to success in 20 chapters! At the same time, it’s the answer to the question as to why Mary was crowned Queen of the Universe. If I want to succeed in life, I must, like Mary, ponder every mystery and compare the way Jesus, She and I meet the tasks that life brings. I’m following Saint Paul, to be able to repeat after him one day: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day…” (2Ti 4:7-8).
The Rosary also means giving someone five minutes of your life. That’s more or less how long it takes to say one decade. In uniting with Mary by reciting Hail Marys, we are sort of holding onto the hem of her skirt while She intercedes for us at God’s throne, praying for our intentions.
A lot of my peers are ashamed of the Rosary. But why should I be ashamed of the words spoken by God’s emissary to the Mother of our Lord! Is it possible to utter something more beautiful than God’s words? That word was repeated by Elizabeth, the mother of the one who preceded Jesus. And Mary asked for the Rosary during all Her manifestations. In Fatima, she told the Children that She was Queen of the Holy Rosary: “I came upon the Earth to admonish humankind, so that people would sin no more. To make them stop offending my Son, recite the Rosary and do penance.
